Provided propaganda for the Soviet government in a variety of forms such as poems, posters, plays, and screenplays. Author of passionate and lyrical love poems. Employed techniques geared to mass appeal, including the use of vernacular language and new poetic forms. Most known works include poems "Oblako v shtanah" ("Cloud in Trousers"), "Horosho!" ("Good!"), "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin", "Oda revolutsii" ("Ode to Revolution"), "Lyublyu" ("I Love"), play "Klop" ("Bedbug").
