Energy Summit in Kiev will Solve Feasibility Study of Odessa-Brody-Plotsk Pipeline

The energy summit, which will be held in May in Kiev, will solve the feasibility study of the project on Odessa-Brody-Plotsk oil pipeline which will supply oil from Caspian to the South Europe, on 6 March Victor Yushenko - the President of Ukraine said in a joint press conference with Nursultan Nazarbayev - the President of Kazakhstan. “The issue of feasibility study of Odessa-Brody-Plotsk will be one of the key priorities in the upcoming Energy Summit,” Yushenko said. The oil pipeline Odessa-Brody was constructed in 2001, but it was not used for many years. At the end of 2004, the Ukrainian government permitted to use the pipeline to transport the Russian oil. Sarmatiya JV was established to realize the construction of Brody-Plotsk sector where Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia and Lithuania take part.
